Matthew F. Smith

Matthew F. Smith is a Los Angeles based writer and filmmaker with two decades of work across music, festivals, and live culture.

His own films have toured the international festival circuit. 

He has directed, shot, and edited branded content, music videos, and documentary work for a wide range of artists and clients, and has created on-the-ground festival content at Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, Symbiosis, Okeechobee, and the Oregon and Texas Eclipse gatherings. A graduate of Kenyon College in Religious Studies, he studied Buddhism in Japan and has sustained a daily meditation practice for over thirty years - a foundation that informs his ability to work calmly and intuitively inside chaotic, high-pressure creative environments.
