My friend asked me to write a song about Kindness, so here it is!

We're in a web of kindness,
In the vast body of life.
No one is an island,
Just a cell in the body of life.
We need others for everything we do;
You depend on me, and I depend on you.
We're in an ocean of people
Trying to swim upstream.
There's someone whispering,
Saying "wake up, it's only a dream".
But we won't let go, are we scared to be free?
To let go and love - it's a wonderful reality!
Everywhere we look we see the kindness of others:
Roads, shops and hospitals
And don't forget about our mothers.
When you're munching on your snickers bar, stop and think of how it got there;
There's infinite causes and conditions
Bound up in the kindness of others...
We're on a wheel of sadness,
Our wisdom eyes are blind;
No one seems to notice
That the wheel is within our minds
So it keeps on turning, going round and round again;
The wheel of nightmares, of suffering and pain.
But we have the medicine to see things how they are;
We don't need to abandon things, that won't get us very far.
We just need to love each other, the rest will come from there.
Because we're interconnected and interdependent so happiness is to share...
