Heather Balogh Rochfort

Welcome to Colorado Gal! I'm Heather Balogh Rochfort—a lifelong Colorado resident, outdoor journalist, and guidebook author sharing the best of Colorado's trails and outdoor life.

Here you'll find hiking guides, camping adventures, mountain biking, trail running, backpacking trips, honest gear reviews, and mountain town inspiration. Whether you're chasing your first alpine lake or your fiftieth summit, my goal is to help you explore Colorado with confidence.

I especially love encouraging more women to get outside and try new adventures, but everyone is welcome here. If you've ever wondered, "Could I do that?"—this channel is for you.

After decades writing for publications including Outside, Backpacker, GearJunkie, CNN, and The Washington Post, I'm bringing that experience—and a local's perspective—to YouTube.
