H2O for Life provides a service-learning opportunity for schools, youth groups, and faith based organizations to raise awareness about the global water crisis while taking action to provide funds for water, sanitation and hygiene education for a partner school in a developing country. Consider these facts:
• 1.5 billion people worldwide lack access to clean water and sanitation
• 2 million children die each year as a result of this water and sanitation crisis
• 5,000 children die EACH DAY from drinking polluted water
Since 2007 H2O for Life and our partner schools have donated almost $2 million to fund water projects in the developing world. We have worked with over 280,000 students in the United States, Canada, and the UK to complete over 600 service-learning projects - helping fund more than 530 life-saving water projects in 21 different countries around the world.
