If you know your guitar players well you will be well aware that Steve Lukather is one of the all time greatest guitar players, the L3 is his latest and in my opinion, greatest signature model available.

The L3 is unlike any other guitar. It's just better. I find it so difficult to sum up this guitar, so again I have to say; it's better. Better than what, you ask? It's better than all of the competition, and not just in its price range, this guitar punches way above its weight, and so it should, this is a Musicman guitar after all.

If you look at the best Fenders and Gibsons available today you will notice that there is little or no 'wow factor' but with prices reaching beyond £4000 they should be mind blowing and full of 'wow factor'. The L3 is a guitar that feels as good as any master built fender, sounds fatter and beefier than any Gibson Les Paul, and in my humble opinion it looks better too. The big question is, with guitars like the L3, why would anyone purchase a Custom shop fender or a high end Gibson? I really don't know.

Build quality: Solid. Top quality wood, hardware and massive attention to detail.

Looks: you have to see it in person to appreciate its beauty, it's stunning!

Sound quality: This is such a warm sounding instrument with heaps of sustain, but it also handles metal incredibly well too, this is a true session players guitar.

Playability: This was setup perfectly by the wonderful folks at Ernie Ball Musicman, it has a low action with little, or next to no fret buzz, it feels silky smooth!

Value for money: If this guitar was £2200 I'd feel like I'm paying a fair price, but you can pick them up for £1800, this is incredible value for money!
