  • Playing song on Les Paul's Gibson Special (Only 7th to play it since Les)

Gibson Special: 'One of Les Paul's favorite guitars'.
Song: "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" Jim, who knew Les and works at the museum, then says this was Les' favorite song and that he loves my version and wants me to teach it to him.
This was the famous #2 LP that Les kept out west for touring (#1's in the east). He custom made this guitar himself & even installed a microphone, with goose-neck, for singing. This guitar attaches to a Les Paulverizer black box device. It has low impedance pickups.
I had asked to play a different guitar & was surprised - and honored! - when Jim said I could play this (not everyone gets to play this guitar).

There's an excellent exhibit of Les Paul guitars, recording equipment, etc. at the museum.

This was a great night - I play 3 Les Pauls owned by the man himself. First a Gibson Jimmy Page Prototype Improved by Les for Jimmy Page. Then a 1959 Gibson LP. Last, the Gibson Special: 'One of Les Paul's favorite guitars'. This was the famous #2 that he kept out west for touring (#1 was in the east). Custom made himself, installed a microphone with goose-neck, plus 'Low Impedence' pickups.
I asked to play a 3rd guitar & was surprised - and honored! - when they said I could play this - I'm only like the 7th person since Les to play this guitar!. (Thanks JIM)

  • Rockleigh NJ Performance Play all

Playing for the folks at the Galien Care Center in Rockleigh, NJ on 9/27/2013. Thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome. The Dir. of Entertainment, Denise, said Wild Horses is one of her favorite songs.
I realize that I'm off-center in these videos, but it couldn't be helped. I could've "fixed" this in one of a few ways, but chose not to as it's okay. (I know I don't have a good profile. It takes some guts to shoot me from the side.)

  • Kessler Rehab Performance Play all

Me playing for patients at Kessler in Saddle Brook NJ on 2/27/13 & 4/25/13. The 'shows' were billed as "The Music Styling of Brad". It was so cool to make these people happy. I enjoyed it as much as they did.
At the end of each month they have a party for those patients that are having a birthday & sometimes there's entertainment. I will be back in future to play more for the patients & staff of (probably) the best rehab center in the country.
