This year, please donate to help keep Grattan going. https://grattan.edu.au/abou...
We all know, it’s been a tough year for many in our community, and across the world. If the money in your household won’t stretch to support Grattan this year we understand – we’ve done plenty of research showing how many households are under pressure as a result of COVID-19.
But if you can support Grattan’s work, it would help us to help Australia. COVID-19 is the biggest shock to Australia since World War II, and we’ve responded. Since 10 March we’ve published 40 opinion pieces and 22 blogposts about the health, economic, household finance, budget, and infrastructure issues that COVID-19 raises. These have made a substantial contribution.
• Perhaps the most widely circulated chart globally about COVID-19 was first published by Grattan;
• our article about Australia’s endgame for COVID-19 was read by more than 700,000 people;
• the Prime Minister cited our blog post about the budgetary response; and
• our report on the impacts on employment led news bulletins and has been cited almost everywhere.
Grattan has also continued to work on Australia’s big long-term policy issues on everything from superannuation to climate change, as we summarise in our annual Impact Report.
Grattan is fiercely independent. That independence means that our work is higher quality, and it is more trusted by policy makers, the media, and the public. To maintain that independence, we don’t accept commissioned work from governments, corporates, or interest groups.
So Grattan depends on donations in the long run. Your donation, no matter how big or small, helps Grattan to become a permanent force for good in Australian life.
