Video Transcription Danielle : What has been the best thing about working with Foster Web Marketing from your perspective? Brian : I don’t know. There are so many good things about working with Foster and his team. To say what’s the best thing, I don’t even know if I could do that. Tom is the face of the company, and his personality is kind of infused throughout the whole company. I don’t know how to say it any other way than Tom gets it . I mean, he understands marketing. He understands why marketing is good. He understands how to do it. And he understands how to translate his knowledge into a language that lawyers can understand. So working with Tom is great. And my advice to people that are working with Tom is—and it took me a little while to figure this out, frankly, and I’m still working through it—is to listen to Tom and do what he says. Lawyers have this idea that they know everything about everything and Tom is the expert in this stuff. If you hire his company, then the absolute best advice I can give to anybody that’s working with them is to listen to what they’re telling you to do and do it. Danielle : And you’ve always listened, right? Brian : No. No, I haven’t, I haven’t. I’ve tried to push back and asked why are we doing this, or why are we doing that, or this needs to be different. You know, I’ll give you a concrete example. Tom has been telling me since the moment we hired his company that video is the next big thing and it literally took us three years for that message to get across. But the message finally did get across, and we’ve used Jim Folliard at the Fairfax Video Studio to do tons of video. They’re awesome. We’ve put a video studio in our own office so we could shoot some of our own video. I mean, it’s not as high quality as Jim’s stuff, but if we want to do something quick—you know, breaking news story or a client testimonial—then we can do it that way. But you know, I can’t say enough good things about Foster Web Marketing. I think they’re the best web marketing company on the whole planet.
