Religion in Taiwan and Singapore

I am a visual anthropologist, and presently I am a Research Fellow at the Asia Research Institute in the National University of Singapore. With a background in art, design and photography (BA, Central Saint Martin's College, London), I hold a PhD in Social Anthropology from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London, and two master’s degrees, one in ‘Taiwan Studies’ from National Chengchi University in Taiwan and the second in ‘Social Anthropological Analysis’ from the University of Cambridge, UK. Capturing the essence of meaningful religious practices through photography and videography has become a passion, focusing my attention and cameras on spirit mediumship; healing rituals, afterlife research; the invention of new ritual traditions; spiritual practices and experimental visual approaches to the documenting of religious phenomena.
