Recently you will have seen several posting asking for action on two different efforts to attack the transgender community in Arizona. We defeated the first one thanks to you and your help -- the "papers please" bathroom bill that would require a birth certificate. We buried the sponsor in such a wave of press that he surrendered, but he has tried to do something else.
This something else is even worse -- he is trying to enshrine in state a law a bill that says anyone can decide they don't like the look of someone else and so deny them entrance to the restrooms, dressing rooms, fitting rooms in department stores, and even locker rooms at work, if someone doesn't meet that owner's personal and subjective idea of how men and women are supposed to look, dress, act, and behave.
This law will allow open discrimination of people based on their being gay or lesbian, and this is despite the target of the bill being the 26,000 Transgender peopl ein the State of Arizona.
We need your help to once more shut them down. We won the first fight, time to put on the pressure once more. Call or email these people and respectfully ask them to vote No on the No Loo for You bill, and follow the hastag #noloo4u on twitter.
