  • The TYT Network Era Play all

From 2013-2015 Dan & Vince were the first and only Canadians asked to be a part of The Young Turks Network. Each week we provided our comedic take on current events in the U.S. in Canada. We ended our channel just before the 2015 election, so Dan could focus on taking care of his father who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. But that summer, we gathered some friends from YouTube and the Canadian web series community and created our first Facebook series, "Harper History" a Mockumentary about the life and times of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper. We uploaded some of our favourites from the series into this playlist. Also, included are a few of Dan's TYT Network rants.

  • The Original YouTuber Days Play all

Just before YouTube launched, me (Dan) and my roommates Wes McClintock and Brian Harris created the video sketch troupe "Cynically Tested". Many of the videos took aim at marketing, consumerism and pop culture. We would take our videos to places like Toronto's Rivoli or digital portals like CBC's ZeD (a tv series for filmmakers and artists). But then in 2006, YouTube arrived on the scene. Soon, there were interviews and press mentions from Huff Post, VH1 and MTV and many spots on tv answering "what is a YouTuber?". There was even an awkward moment on CBC News riding up and down an escalator over and over again - don't ask. During 2005-2006 we made various successful tv sketches and short films, which led to the creation of our first tv series in 2007.

Eventually, Brian and then Wes went on to different creative projects but I continued creating short videos and long form series. In 2013, I returned to YouTube with my tv/film collaborator Vince Kesavamoorthy to create YouTube videos regularly again for The Young Turks Network.

  • Our TV show Promos Play all

You may not have realized, we've actually created three tv series during our creator journey. Every time we made a tv series though, we made sure to stick to our YouTube roots and create specific stuff just for our subscribers. Here's some of our faves from Twixters, The What Is and Truth Mashup (pre-TYT).

  • The Best of Vince Play all

Two years into my YouTube journey I (Dan) met Vince during the creation of our first tv series Twixters in 2007. Soon after we created a new production company and over the years have had a lot of fun on YouTube making sketches, commercial parodies and YouTube extras for our tv projects and Google Canada's "Canadian Collab Project". From 2013-2015 we regularly made content for The Young Turks Network across various platforms including the Facebook web series "Harper History". So here's some of my favourite shorts that feature Vince's sense of humour - some in front of the camera and some behind.

  • The Best of Rebecca Play all

Rebecca De La Cour starred in our first ever tv series "Twixters" and she will tell you that it's all been downhill since. Though she prefers the stage, we got her used to the YouTube life, well almost. She played our lead fake journalist in our CBC Radio comedy "The Truth From Here" as well as the TV series version of Truth Mashup. Whether she was rejecting Dan on Kiss a Ginger Day or giving her best propaganda voice over in our 24 Seven parodies, Rebecca De La Cour has been a huge part of the success of our channel. Here's a few of our favourite Rebecca moments.
