Cristina Ghinassi is a performance and video artist.
In 2009 founds In_Ocula, a collective working in performing arts with the interactive use of video.
Her collective created site-specific performances and installations by using a multidisciplinary and interactive approach that focuses on the audience involvement and the use of media. They conceived and implemented CrAcK, a multidisciplinary exchange project, involving Middle Eastern artists and merging into different performances and installations, they exhibited in Italy, Denmark and Malta.
Since 2013, she has lived between Bologna, Beirut, Malta and Istanbul, focusing her research on The Mediterranean region and The Middle East. Her travel experience serves as a source of inspiration to carry out research, from which she starts to question her surrounding.
Her practice incorporates solo video performances, audience-interactive installations, video art and site-specific projects.
