Welcoming students from across Canada and around the world, Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) offers 16 Bachelor of Arts majors as well as Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Music, and Bachelor of Music Therapy degrees, along with pre-professional studies. CMU offers Master of Arts degrees in Theological Studies and in Christian Ministry at the graduate level.
CMU is an Anabaptist Christian institution offering academic programs in the liberal arts, sciences, and business. Located in Winnipeg and chartered by the Province of Manitoba in 1998, CMU is characterized by excellent scholarship (88% of CMU's faculty have earned doctorates); engaged learning (with students supported actively through personal relationships with and mentoring from faculty and staff); welcoming community (on-campus living and many opportunities for involvement); faith integration (inviting students to engage questions and commitments of Christian faith) and experiential learning (extending the classroom through practicums in all degree programs).
In addition, an eight-month Outtatown Discipleship School provides experiential, cross-cultural, off-campus learning in Canada, South Africa and Guatemala; and a four-month French Outtatown program offers options for study and learning in Winnipeg, Montreal, Paris and Burkina Faso.CMU also has a college that is located on the campus of the University of Winnipeg. Menno Simons College offers undergraduate degree programs in conflict resolution studies and in international development studies in affiliation with the University of Winnipeg.
