I met up with my friend and Tokyo ramen expert, Brian of Ramen Adventures to take a ride out to Mount Fuji where we had the fattest country noodles, Houtou in Yamanashi. Brian also let me take you on a Tokyo apartment tour. Brian also shares how he started in the ramen scene in Tokyo (and being a ramen expert)! This video is packed with fun!
Houtou is a specialty of Yamanashi prefecture near Mt Fuji. It consists of a hotpot with miso soup, thick hearty noodles, pumpkin, vegetables and game meat.

According to Wikipedia: "Culture Shock: The feeling of disorientation experienced by someone who is suddenly subjected to an unfamiliar culture, way of life, or set of attitudes." Culture shock is cultural difference, like shifting weather and this is neither good nor bad; it can affect you even if you travel to a neighboring town.
