• Belong to something bigger in Kitchener

In Kitchener, diversity is our strength. We are a city that recognizes that by working together, we create potential and opportunity – to start, to grow and to succeed. A city where you can make a good living, and live a good life.

For more than 150 years, we’ve been making some pretty amazing things here in Kitchener.
Shirts, tires, cold cuts and cookies, buttons, boots and furniture. Software, hardware, music and art.
But we know, the most important thing we make here….is community.

We are the kind of community that feels like home. Because in Kitchener, it doesn’t matter where you come from. It only matters that you’re here.

  • 2012 Youth Video Awards Play all

Award-winning short films will light up September evenings in downtown Kitchener. The Cube, high atop the Berlin Tower at Kitchener city hall, will feature projections of the winning videos in the city's 2012 Youth Video Contest.

39 young filmmakers between the ages of 12 and 25 submitted original, short, silent videos, film and animations. The contest engages youth in creating public art, using tools they may already be familiar with, and showcases the Cube as a digital art gallery in the downtown. While the majority of contest submissions were local, entries came from across the province, including Belleville and Toronto.
