Chocolate Films Workshops are taught by professional filmmakers from Chocolate Films. When they’re not producing high quality commissioned films and online content, they’re working with schools, art galleries and museums to enable people to make their own films. Our filmmakers are all DBS checked and many are first aiders.
Not every workshop is the same. That’s why Chocolate Films has a range of equipment to suit all ages, abilities and filmmaking styles. These include camcorders, HDSLR cameras, tablets and professional cinema cameras. We use software that is both professional and accessible for first time filmmakers. So, for post-production we use latest Apple products – iMovie and FCPX, and for stop motion animation we use DragonFrame which was used to produce films such as Shaun The Sheep and The Boxtrolls.
On Chocolate Films Workshops, the participants are the filmmakers, even if this is their very first time on set. Participants learn to write, shoot and direct films in fun and accessible ways under the guidance of professional filmmakers.
We have a wide range of workshop options, using genres such as drama, animation, and documentary, to ensure that every participant has the best possible experience.
