  • John Dingler's Art - Ten Disparity Graphs

    159 views 4 years ago
This series of ten awesome images have a political message within the simple and colorful composition.

The key element in the composition is the diagonal line running from near the top left to near the bottom right. This forms two triangles. The triangles are read from left to right, thus forming two interconnected graphs.

The message above the diagonal line, and in the top triangle, refers to the 1%; The the bottom triangle below the diagonal line refers to the 99%.

Take the "WEALTH" image graph in the series, for example. The top triangle is read as "THE 1%'S WEALTH."

Further, "THE 1%'s" is written in very small text, and crampted tightly into the top left corner while "WEALTH," is written in large text, and expanding, with the "H," the largest letter, landing against the extreme right edge to graphically indicate the huge amt. of wealth hoarded by the 1%. The opposite applies to the bottom triangles. All ten images rely on this pattern.

These ten disparities are all brought to you by big money; It writes the laws assuring the continuation of disparity.

Disparity can be eliminated by prohibiting the use of private wealth in political campaigns and in lobbying, replacing with public financing. The most effective means is by the passage of the 28th Amendment to the US Constitution. Occupy Riverside's 28ers know this to be true.

The visual key to naming the disparities is not to use more than two words, preferably only one. Using more words would overly engage the viewer's left brain, thus reducing the emotional impact which is the major point of this series of "Disparity Graphs." Show less
