Piano (again, with feeling) 

My name is Dr Charles Tebbs and I am a pianist, composer and piano teacher (also teaching online). On this channel you can explore some of my piano compositions, interpretations of well-known piano pieces, as well as ideas on interpretation. I have a PhD in music as well as a masters in theory and analysis, have studied with pianists such as Penelope Roskell and Ben Frith, and continue to investigate the history of style through a passion for early recordings (recordings made by pianists born in the 19th century).  I have taught performance modules at the University of Nottingham. Professor Neal Peres Da Costa, whose work led me to the study of early recordings, has endorsed areas of my research.  I have also taught about early recordings and music theory on the 'musicworks' chamber music summer schools here in the UK.
