Cardboard Citizens is running a series of residency programmes across England, bringing Forum Theatre, performing arts and creative programmes to homeless, marginalised and disadvantaged groups.
This short film is about the residency project we ran in Hastings with St Leonards' on sea's Seaview, a wellbeing centre offering help and inspiration for people living on society's margins.
Working with Cardboard Citizens and local arts practitioners, the participants created their own performances about their own stories. A PEARL qualification was embedded in the project.
The residencies also aim to engage locally based theatre practitioners and venues, to ensure there is a legacy for each programme.
