HUD's new AFFH purports to reduce discrimination. Instead it wrests zonong and land use control from local officials and can force communites into regions under threat of litigation. Rather than help the poor, AFFH uses them as pawns to gain control for the federal government.
Regional sustainabel development reduces the authority of local officials and takes away community members' representation. It does little if anything to reduce the effects of climate change and makes it more difficult for low income families to climb the financial ladder. Other than helping a handfull of politicians and special interests, regional sustainable development is a blight on communities and should be stopped.
