Formerly known as the Humpy's Marathon, which began in the early 1990s, the Big Wild Life Runs has been a staple event in the Anchorage community since 2008. Over the past few years, the race has evolved from a small running event into a major marathon affair attracting runners from all over the United States and across the globe.  Choose between a marathon, half-marathon, 5k, marathon walk, or kids 2k.  Register at bigwildliferuns.org

With the exception of the Kids' 2K, all races will still start and finish in the heart of downtown Anchorage. The out-and-back courses will take runners through the streets of downtown before heading out on the scenic Tony Knowles Coastal Trail and Chester Creek
