When is the best time to practice tai chi chuan? Well, anytime! We as practitioners always face this question as our modern lives are forever pressing us for more of our time. The fact of the matter is, even if we are simply practicing the proper breathing techniques (using our tan tien) in traffic, perhaps shifting our weight distribution between legs while waiting for a train, it is all tai chi. 

I find it most beneficial to myself, to practice at least part of the form during the most stressful of moments, to keep my focus sharp and to ground myself, when it is needed most. And of course, the ever wonderful times when we are out among nature and friends, sharing the spirit of this beautiful thing we all enjoy, called life..
