Some of the main features offered by the B000 are Proximity; Touch and snap channel outputs; 5 finger multi-touch; configurable XY resolution; I2C slave device; gestures; low-power modes and configurable report rates.
Starting your evaluation is as easy as connecting your module via USB dongle to your computer and running the graphical development environment. Various two- and three dimensional display options are available to evaluate the performance of the trackpad hardware and configuration parameters. This displays the capacitive sensing elements together with the trackpad X and Y coordinate output data. The same graphical development environment is also used once the designer is developing and tuning his own application.

The graphical user interface is a convenient environment where the configuration for each custom design can be obtained with ease.
The on-chip settings are easy to tweak, and the performance obtained is clearly displayed and visualised, providing instant feedback for fast and efficient device optimisation. Once happy with the configuration and performance, the designer simply exports a new file, integrating the B000 application firmware together with the custom parameters.
This firmware can now be programmed onto the device, and without any interaction needed, the product will power up and be ready to go.

One of the most exciting features added to the B000 is the ability to recognise common gestures by the on-chip gesture engine. With configurable gesture parameters, reliable gesture operation is available for various hardware designs.
The system modes are easy to understand and highly configurable. By customising the report rates of each, together with the transition between modes, the designer is able to blend fast reaction speed together with low power consumption, to suit the power budget of the product.
The B000 is the latest offering from Azoteq's trackpad stable, enabling designers a fast development cycle from prototype to mass production.
