Australian Woodwork's Hunter Valley Gallery was purpose built to showcase Australian made fine furniture and woodwork in native timbers. Evolving from a woodcraft stall in The Rocks markets over twenty years ago we grew to encompass two shops at Sydney International Airport plus our flagship Darling Harbour shop of thirteen years. We realised, as our stable of craftsmen grew, that we needed a big space in which to fully display their talents and the many different types of woodcraft they produced, from turning, carving, marquetry, segmented woodwork, box-making, joinery, cabinetry to furniture design and manufacture. We built and opened the Australian Woodwork Hunter Valley Gallery in the beautiful Hunter Valley vineyard area, giving the gallery a country setting framed by graceful Greygums which evoke the natural beauty of Australia's native timbers. With our Sydney shops now closed we are concentrating our efforts on creating one of the premier woodwork galleries in Australia where the best work of the country's top designer makers can be viewed, purchased and commissioned. We are able to assist with corporate requirements, wedding registries and home furniture of a general or specific nature. The gallery offers visitors the chance to be bowled over by a major display of furniture in native timbers with all their richness, colour and warmth. Australia has some of the best fine- woodworking timbers in the world, from the buttery richness of Huon Pine, to the shimmer of Blackwood to the deep glow of Australian Red Cedar, plus all the magnificent hardwoods such as Rose Gum, Red Gum, Coolibah and Jarrah with their spectrum of colours from pink to deep red and brown.

The gallery offers a wide range of woodcraft; kitchenware including cutting boards, servingware, tableware - homewares including lamps, mirrors, frames, grandfather clocks, vases, glassware - accessories including walking sticks, torches, jewellery, keyrings, pens, deskware and decorative woodcraft which includes our stunning bird sculptures, carvings, master-turned bowls, segmented woodwork, prints and marquetry work. Many of the woodcraft items on display make wonderful gifts especially when that gift needs to be good quality and Australian made which is something we guarantee, having recently received our 'Australian Made' accreditation which allows us to fly the Australian Made flag with pride, which we do every day.
