Allons enfants is a joyful, colourful web series: La Marseillaise, again and again, reinvented in a different musical style every episode with the help of AI.

The idea comes from Raymond Queneau, who as early as 1947 told the same anecdote 99 different ways in Exercises in Style. In 1960, he co-founded the Oulipo with François Le Lionnais, where Georges Perec would later write an entire novel without the letter "e". Their belief: constraints spark invention. Here, there is only one constraint: the lyrics, which stay untouched. Everything else is a playground.

As the Oulipians liked to say, we are "rats who build the labyrinth from which they plan to escape".

Conceived, written and directed by Jean-Christophe Gilbert. In tribute to Raymond Queneau.
