Note: A possible explanation for all of the variants was given by Prof. Eigeldinger: Chopin was unhappy about his Nocturne being played badly by amateur pianists in the Paris salons as it became extremely popular - so he added some difficult embellishments in the hope of preventing them from playing the piece!
