Alexander's Festival Hall is a pop confection, a well-mixed cocktail or some sort of metaphor about a well-accessorized new outfit. Tormented by the possibility of marrying the lyricism of Gershwin with the sound of Köln nightclubs, Mr AFH drops beats made out of disco fragments onto melodies which creak in time with the lovelorn heart. His debut album, "Not a dry eye in London" has been chiselled out of solid popcrete, and contains zippy pop, peppy electronica, and wistful whistleable tunes.

Producer:
Working under the name The Age of Reason Mr. AFH produced and arranged Piney Girs 2009 album The Yearling - a cosmically beautiful record full of heartbroken electronics, folky saws, TR808s and massed lady-vocal brigades.
