Documentary: How to see the ISS from your home! - NOW English subtitle!! (active the subtitle option at the Youtube player)
Looking the passes of the ISS is a fun activity for kids and older overall at summer nights.
In this documentary I show you why it's possible seeing the International Space Station and how we can look it by ourself, without help of any telescope or something.
In the Chapter 0, I do a theoretical introduction about the brightness of the Sun over the ISS and how rebounds to us in a way that we can see it at the sunrise and at the sunset.
In the Chapter 1, we talk about the HEAVENS-ABOVE web and how we can to obtain the specific information about the passes of the ISS over our city on the next days.
The Chapter 3 it's a real sighting of the 3th August 2014 pass, at 22:35h over the city of Cehegín (Murcia, Spain). The exclusive, unique and "breaking report" of this chapter is that we are going to see the REAL TIME VIDEO that the ISS get with its two cameras, simultaneously, while we are looking it and recording it. Every second of the video is synchronised!! (it was a very hard post-production work coordinating every camera -I used 6 cameras in this chapter!!). Really is a original and unique document.
I have produced this documentary with the wish that a lot of old people can use it in order to live this experience with their children, at the summer nights, in their towns or cities. It's born with the confidence that it can be a way to wake up or maintaining the curiosity about the science in children: wonder us continuously the why of the things.
