The campaign, developed by JWT Sydney, builds off the idea that nobody knows the realities of street life better than homeless adults. Each execution features as a selfless act from a Sydney homeless person - a plea for us to help homeless youth! Youth Off The Streets would like to thank Brian, Shorty, Pop, Graham and Linda for their time, compassion and empathy for Australia's homeless youth.
Youth Off The Streets is a non-denominational, non-discriminatory community organisation working for young people who are homeless, drug dependent and recovering from abuse. We support these young people as they work to turn their lives around and overcome immense personal traumas such as neglect and physical, psychological and emotional abuse.
Youth Off The Streets GetReel Design a Drug Ad Competition runs every year. The competition invites students and young people aged 10 to 16 to design an advertisement that raises awareness and educates their peers about the consequences of drug and alcohol abuse. The competition has two categories, Secondary School and Primary School students. This list includes the final entries for the 2011 GetReel Design a Drug Ad Competition for both Primary and Secondary Schools. The winner from each category will have their advertisement professionally produced and aired on national television. There are also great prizes to be won. For more information about the competition, information on when and how you can enter, or to find out how you can include GetReel as a school project, visit http://www.getreelcompetition.com.au/.
