"The human touch. That's what we're all about. XCVI is about people. The people who make our clothes and the people who wear and live in our clothes. My dad, my mom, my uncle Leo, started this company in 1996 from the back of their tiny store on Melrose. They were new immigrants, trying to make their mark on Los Angeles. And I think they did just that. The line truly captures the LA lifestyle; the lighthearted elegance of the city. My dad was a basketball coach, before he moved to the US, and in many ways he coached us here as well. My mom has always been the people person. She personifies the spirit of the line. My brother is the big picture guy. He's incredibly smart and knows this industry really well. 'The market is changing. Consumers are more aware of sustainability and transparency. For us, authenticity is not just a gimmick. It's what we've always done. And it's who we are.' Our clothing tells our story: the samples and many of the products are still made right here in Los Angeles. Our designer, who's been with us since day one, still designs everything on paper. Many of the sewers, cutters, packers are still here today. Our brand reflects our family; the family that we've made. We have a lot of fun in making these clothes. And I hope you feel happy and confident in wearing them."
