The Wurzels steam roll into town with their new single 'Old Rosie'!
The bands' new single is the story of the infamous 1921 Aveling & Porter steam roller “Old Rosie” which was named after the Laurie Lee book “Cider with Rosie” and has been a permanent fixture at the Fair since its humble beginnings in 1969.
The song tells the true story of the steam roller being found in a rusty state after years of neglect and its finders' vision to one day restore the engine and bodywork to her former glory and of the proud day when his dream becomes a reality as she rolls up to the Greatest Steam Show on earth in Dorset.
The band’s new video features the iconic engine based at the Westons Cider Mill in Much Marcle, Herefordshire.
Old Rosie also gives its name to Westons' leading authentic and traditional cloudy cider.
The single ‘Old Rosie” will be available on Friday 30th June 2017.
