Too often we find ourselves waiting for things to be "perfect" before we commit ourselves to God. We try to fix our problems on our own with the hope that God will accept us if we can get "close enough". However, the Bible tells us a different story about what God wants from us. It teaches that we simply cannot achieve perfection on our own. Jesus Christ has done this for us and all He requires of us in return is Faith. This means we are free to begin serving God right now... and He will fix our "mess" along the way. God does His best work in the midst of our weakness, trials and struggles.
In the Spring of 2017, our church completed a renovation of our Sanctuary. In the middle of that "mess" we decided to film an impromptu series of worship songs to demonstrate this truth about the Christian life. We snuck into the unfinished Sanctuary at night after the workers/volunteers had gone home and took advantage of the natural acoustics of the room to record several praise songs. There were no rehearsals and the majority of the songs were shot in a single take. We made no efforts to doctor the vocals. What you will hear is raw, beautifully imperfect worship. This series is not a showcase of individual talent. It is a demonstration of what it looks like to worship God in spite of our circumstances.
Our goal is that you are encouraged by the message. We invite you to worship with us and we hope you enjoy the music. Oh, and please: Pardon the Mess!
