We’re celebrating 15 years of animal protection this year! 🎉
We have been working at the cutting-edge of the animal protection movement since 2004, ensuring our vision of a respectful and compassionate world for animals becomes a reality. Here’s a few ways we’ve helped create a kinder world for animals. 🐷
Many of us in Australia are conflicted in our attitude towards animals. We love our dogs and cats, yet continue to eat pigs, cows and chickens in their hundreds of thousands.
Held at the University of Queensland on Thursday 16 October, Voiceless Rethinking: Speciesism was a seminar which investigated the concept of “speciesism” – namely, giving preference to some animals, including humans, based solely on their species.
This year Voiceless explored legal comparisons between the commercial hunting of seals in Canada and kangaroos in Australia. Our keynote speaker, Lesli Bisgould, shared her legal insights from Canada and local speakers gave a legal perspective on the commercial hunting of kangaroos in 12 venues nationwide.
