We have professional instruction.
I feel our students are very well prepared and it shows with the last three national licensing exams. We achieved a 100% pass rate. It makes us at Vancouver Career College very happy. We know that we prepared them to not only pass the national test, but to be out there and practice safely.
I have been here since 2007 and I have been in this role since 2008. I have been practicing Licensed Practical Nurse for thirty eight years and I still currently practice at Surrey Memorial Hospital.
Small class sizes are important because you get more individual attention versus large class size where you kind of feel lost in the crowd.
Small class sizes are very important for every student. It allows everybody to grow together instead of leaving someone behind.
Small class sizes are very important because you can get a lot more one on one help. My class was the smallest in the school -- seven of us.
Hands on training.
I love hands on training at Vancouver Career College because you are right there, right in the lab and you get an idea how it is going to be in the real life when you are actually working with people.
I think it is beneficial for everyone because you are not just sitting at the desk, you need to have the skills and you need to be interactive, and they provide you with everything to do that job.
I am a tactical learner. I need to be doing something to learn it.
Hands on training is better because you have chance to experience it. You can read anything in the book, but to actually do it is completely different and so much more beneficial.
I learn hands on. To me it comes more natural that way; so, if I was to try study just from a book none of it would actually sink in.
Learning for success.
I had no direction before and when I went into the campus to talk to the admissions representative she told me what my options were. I started to look at the things and got on a new path.
I am a single mom and I decided to go and do this program. I want to show my daughter that I can accomplish something.
We offer a lot of tutorials for our students. When they come to us and they say that they need assistance the entire faculty is there to assist them and we do whatever we can to assist them to be successful.
Life changing experience
Going to college changed my life because everyone believed in me and gave me hope that I could do it even though I had my days when I said that I was done. They still put me through it.
Going to the college changed my life in a sense that it put me in a career I always dreamed of being in and left me by being financially stable.
Going to the college changed my life, made me a more conscientious thinker, well organized person, it taught me how, if you really set a goal, then you can achieve it.
Vancouver Career College changed my life by giving me a completely different career to work towards.
My aspiration before starting the school was to make a difference and now that I am graduating and I am in the field that is the same thing, but I have more confidence in myself and more goals to accomplish.
