United Way’s “Change Doesn’t Happen Alone” PSA illustrates how our corporate partners and their employees are joining the fight for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community. These partnerships are vital to building stronger communities. Whether our partners and their employees are supporting United Way’s impact work with corporate contributions, individual donations or their time and talent by volunteering — they are fueling the change we seek to make across the world. Change doesn’t happen alone. We need your help. Join the fight at: unitedway.org/change
On June 21 2013, United Way Partnered with Google to host The 21, a twenty-one hour broadcast of live programming in support of worldwide education. United Way started the broadcast at 3:00 AM EST through Google+ Hangout On Air, an easy to use technology that allows users to participate in video call from wherever they are through computers, tablets or phones.
The first of its kind event featured celebrities from the sports world, entertainers, leaders in the education field, and also everyday heroes who are making a difference in their communities through education. Think of it as a telethon reinvented for the digital age, except its goal is to recruit pledges to become volunteer readers, tutors and mentors.
