University of Plymouth Big Band

The University of Plymouth Big Band (UPBB) was set up in 2005 by a dedicated bunch of students who wanted a musical outlet within the university in which to play Jazz. The band has gone from strength to strength since this time and now boosts over 30 committed members; playing gigs across Plymouth and the surrounding area.

We are a friendly lot and welcome any age and ability within the university. We regularly play gigs within the academic year and have an active social life as well.

If you would like to get in touch with the band, whether it is about joining the band; to book us for a gig or to comment on any aspect to do with the band, please email us on:
