Ramadhan comes at a time when Muslims are facing great turmoil. Around the Ummah, whole communities continue to be attacked and displaced. Facing seemingly-endless persecution, they look around to find a global order that shows little regard for them.
Ramadhan's days are ones in which a small amount of effort can lead to immense reward. It is a month for worship and charity. A month where we can show our gratitude to Allah by spending generously on His needy slaves.

The killing of the majority by a minority continues.
Amidst the horrors of barrel bombs, sieges and imprisonment, countless Syrians today have nothing. Years of conflict, displacement and unemployment have completely depleted their resources. The result: millions are dependent on outside aid if they are to survive.
Ummah Welfare Trust launched its appeal for the suffering Muslims here in April 2012. The charity has since spent close to £30 assisting our brothers and sisters.
Massive fighting across the north and west of Iraq has killed thousands of civilians in the past year. One of the world's oldest cities, Mosul, has been completely destroyed. Over half a million of its former residents are now in barren camps in the desert where they're receiving little or no aid.
Help our displaced sisters and their young children now survive. Donate your Zakat, Sadaqah and Lillah for Ummah Welfare Trust’s ongoing emergency work here.
