The primary mission of the F-102 was to intercept and destroy enemy aircraft. It was the world's first supersonic all-weather jet interceptor and the USAF's first operational delta-wing aircraft. This interview is with Lt. Col.(Ret.) Jerome Baxter who flew the T-33A, U-2D, F-4E, F/TF-102, T-41, T-37, T-38 and holds crew experience on the B-52, T-29, C-54 and SA-16. Baxter served in the USAF from July 1973-October 1982 and flew as a commercial pilot after his Air Force retirement.
