The University of Illinois at Chicago Center for Clinical and Translational Science is part of the National Institutes of Health Clinical Translational Science Award (CTSA) consortium. The CCTS launched at UIC with the goal of accelerating the translation of scientific discoveries into innovative diagnostics and therapies, disease prevention and improved health care delivery with a special emphasis on reducing health disparities. The CCTS strives to: 1. Break down institutional barriers to better enable the efficient conduct of clinical and translational research 2. Maximize innovation by promoting team science 3. Deliver educational programs for the development of a comprehensive translational science workforce 4. Provide integrated navigation through campus resources and services to better meet the needs of the clinical-translational researcher
