TibetanOdyssey

In the Summer of 1999, a group of eleven spiritually-minded travelers embarked upon a month-long journey from the U.S. to Singapore, Nepal, Tibet, and India.

This YouTube channel attempts to share that life-changing journey through eighteen hours of amateur video.

Itinerary: Singapore; Kathmandu (Nepal); Enroute Lhasa (Tibet); Gyantse (Tibet); Shigatse (Tibet); and Lhasa (Tibet). Unfortunately, no video was recorded in India.

Tour Group: Terri (host), El Marie, Joan, Gerri, Mary Lou, Helen, Dorothy, Gloriana, David, Flora, and Blaine.

Nepalese Staff: Sarit (host); Unk (tour guide).

Tibetan Staff: Sonam (tour guide); Tsering (bus driver).

NOTE: Many of the videos presented herein have been stabilized using YouTube's modern image-stabilization processing. The result in most cases is quite astonishing--eliminating the shakiness caused by filming on bumpy buses traversing both paved and dirt roads. In a few cases, subtle to moderate distortion occurs in the processed video.
