The Connecting Place at Greater Salem

Greater Salem Church is the second oldest African-American church in Mecklenburg County, Charlotte, NC. Established in 1874 as Salem Baptist Church, the humble beginnings of the ministry grew to become one of the cornerstones of the faith community in Charlotte.

We share a great love for this great city, the community and the membership. As a congregation that is committed to sharing the message of Christ's love and value to all mankind, we are focused on impacting our community one section at a time.
