CICAE Arthouse Cinemas

The CICAE (Confédération Internationale des Cinémas d'Art et Essai / International Confereration of Arthouse Cinemas) was founded in 1955 by the national arthouse cinema associations of Germany, France, the Netherlands and Switzerland. 

Today, the CICAE brings together about 4,100 screens in 46 countries via 12 national and regional arthouse cinema organisations, about 60 independent cinemas in around the world, 13 festivals (including Berlinale, Cannes Directors' Fortnight, Sarajevo Film Festival), as well as special members and cultural associations.
