As ATLAS gears up to record data from proton collisions delivered by the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at an unprecedented energy level, here are glimpses from the last two years of preparations. The musical score was created using data published in the paper: “Observation of a New Particle in the Search for the Standard Model Higgs Boson with the ATLAS Detector at the LHC”, Phys. Lett. B 716 (2012) 1-29.

The idea behind using the 2012 Higgs Boson data to create such a music piece is building on the achievements, using them as a scaffolding to reach higher peaks and targets. The music suggests a never-ending progression (based on intervals contained in the data) starting from the 2012 success and going on and on!
