The Texas Golf Association was founded over one-hundred years ago as a nonprofit membership organization to promote and advance the game of golf in Texas by providing a wide range of services for the benefit of its member clubs and their individual members, and for all golf enthusiasts across the state.
From historic private clubs to the newest daily fees. From rural 9-hole family operation to multi-course resorts. From military courses to local municipals. The membership base of the Texas Golf Association is as diverse as the state itself and includes every type of facility. Put simply, we are you. We share your passion for the game. We are high and low handicaps, public and private players, avid and looking-to-get-out-more golfers working together to make the game more enjoyable for everyone.
Over the years the TGA has built and maintained strong working relationships with the USGA, the PGA of America, the Women's Texas Golf Association and other state, regional and local golf associations to promote the game of golf.
As the game has grown in popularity, so too has the TGA. Today, we are firmly established as one of the largest and most respected golf associations in the country. We stand as the governing body for amateur golf in the state, looked upon to provide the leadership necessary to uphold the traditions and values of the game and to ensure its future growth.
The TGA will continue to stay current on all trends and issues facing the game, and maintain the flexibility to meet any challenges change brings about.
