TEDxSotonUni

The peace and tranquility of a typical Sunday on campus was shattered on 17 March 2013 when 100 guests arrived to experience the first University of Southampton TEDx conference around the theme of Sustainability. This was the first event in the annual Multidisciplinary Research Week #MDRWeek.

Marking the beginning of the annual Multidisciplinary Research Week the conference delivered TED's mission of 'Spreading Ideas', with world leading researchers and experts on sustainability taking to the stage to 'give the talk of their life in 18 minutes' (TEDx rules).
