Families assisted by TAPS, the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, talk about how this nonprofit program helps them connect with others grieving a similar loss and cope with their grief. Hear how peer-based emotional support, Good Grief Camps for children, seminars and retreats for adults, connections to community-based care, casework assistance, and a 24/7 resource and information helpline are assisting these grieving military families. TAPS offers comfort and care to anyone grieving the death of someone who died while serving in the Armed Forces, regardless of where they died or how they died. TAPS was founded by bereaved military families who lost their loved ones in a 1992 military plane crash. More information about TAPS is available at www.taps.org.
A collection of videos about the TAPS Run & Remember Team, which runs races in memory of fallen military service members. Many of our runners are the immediate friends and family of those who have died in service to our country, but anyone is welcome to participate. More information is available at www.taps.org
