    774 views 1 month ago
The Oculus Rift is a new virtual reality headset that allows players to step inside their favourite games and completely immerse themselves in the virtual world.

NORCAT (Norther Centre for Advanced Technology Inc.) is finding ways to use Virtual Reality as a more hands-on learning experience.

Ed Wisniewski director of software development and information technology, along with NORCAT`s art director Andrew Kostuik have been working on using the Oculus Rift for practical purposes by developing engaged-learning software applications focused on health and safety in the workplace, at home, and in the community.

This bleeding edge technology challenges traditional learning methods through virtual reality applications.
