Specsavers’ latest TV advert takes an amusing look at the funny ways that children lose their glasses.
The commercial was produced to promote Specsavers’ offer of two free pairs of glasses for under-16s.
The tune is called The Little Dancer. It was recorded in 1979 by The Cults Percussion Ensemble, which comprised 11 girls with an average age of 14 from the Cults area of Aberdeen.
The ensemble also featured a young Dame Evelyn Glennie who went on to become one of the world’s leading percussionists despite being profoundly deaf. This is her first ever recording.
The ad was directed by HLA’s Simon Ratigan, who is one of 2014’s top 10 commercials directors, and was written by Specsavers creatives Aaron Scoones and Michael Hutchinson.
