  • LQ - Keep Hiding Play all

    Stream it here: http://smarturl.it/sv048shop

LQ, better known as Boyan ‘Bruhu’ Savov and Boyan Angelov, are two up and coming producers from Bulgaria’s capital, Sofia. Initially coming to our attention with their track Half Choir back on Soul Sessions Vol 3, the duo haven’t slowed down, netting a single on Program earlier this year. With a pair of sultry liquid rollers on the cards, we’re thrilled to have locked the boys in for their debut single - firmly keeping us in the EU as a label (Brexit or no Brexit!).

Keep Hiding opens with warm tones, and calming chimes - giving way to sun-soaked piano chords. The elusive vocals stay true to the title, leaving us begging for more pitch-shifted goodness. Tuned percussion counter-melodies backed by lush strings welcome in an enveloping pad for the second drop, keeping our attention firmly in the groove.

Control, on the the other hand, opens with a more serene melody. Understated drums and swirling pads let in a moodier, and surprisingly surging bassline. Wicked licks of percussion compliment delicate, underlying vocals and pulsing chords.

With plenty more music in the pipeline, these exciting producers are certainly ones to watch. Keep your eyes peeled for this stunning release dropping on the 2nd of November.

  • Dilemma - Chemical Love Play all

    Buy it here: http://smarturl.it/sv047shop

Introducing the insanely talented, Brighton based producer Piper Hewitt-Dudding, aka Dilemma. Following releases on Hospital, Drum&BassArena and Flight Pattern among others - we’re incredibly excited to deliver her debut single on the imprint: ‘Chemical Love’. Having just smashed the proverbial Snazzball out of the park on the Summer Soul EP in July - Dilemma’s back to cause problems on Soulvent.

Chemical Love bursts into gear with feel good reverse pads and perfectly filtered drums, topped with cooler tones of piano, drawn out bells and warm plucks of dulcimer. The track keeps rolling to a new level with each phrase which may cause you to get a serious surge of dopamine.

With You is all old-school feels, with a solid backbeat and carefully metered structure. Chunky drums make way for a haunting drone, and satisfying chimes. Longing piano chords are introduced, and all the track’s elements combine in a sultry jazz-infused number, perfect to warm your encroaching Winter.

Piper breathes fresh female talent into the Soulvent roster, and her debut is certainly one that’s not worth missing - arriving in all good stores on the 5th of October.

  • Monika - Cloud Chamber Play all

    Buy it here: http://smarturl.it/sv046shop

Maxwell ‘Monika’ Sweeney returns to Soulvent Records to follow up his To The Light EP with a 3-track single, after having teamed up with Finland’s own Askel for a single on Atmomatix last month. Staying true to his style, he effortlessly tows the line between experimental and formulaic, while keeping his progressive drum-work pulsing. We are immensely proud to present his 3rd solo Soulvent release.

Cloud Chamber starts with an airy break that slowly builds into an expansive soundscape. Thrumming synths supported by rolling drum fills ascend with vocals from Anna Provan (aka Buddie) culminating in an uplifting, dreamy piece of music.

Asian inspired strings start off Himalaya; a half time, moodier number taking you on a journey through the mountains that inspired its title. Crisp snares and Eastern percussion cuts the cold air, while siren-like swirls of droning synths crash together as breaking waves.

Himalaya is backed up by a remix from Akuratyde, aka Southern California’s Daniel Eshleman. Leading the charge for American-made d&b, the young producer has been working with Blu Mar Ten music since early 2015, offering a glitchy, screwed & chopped take on the original.

With a growing back catalogue, and a clever take on d&b production, this is surely another Monika release to get your hands on – dropping on the 7th of September.

  • Silence Groove - Origins Play all

    Buy it now: http://smarturl.it/sv044shop

Enter Polish powerhouse Kuba Cichocki, better known as Silence Groove. After a string of impressive releases on the likes of Integral, Fokuz and Liquicity, as well as a highly rated remix of Pola & Bryson’s album opener ‘Call Of The Night’, we thought it was only right to hunt him down for his first solo Soulvent single.

Origins hits the ground running with remnants of classic old school breaks and chunky synth and vocal stabs, teasing the ears with nostalgic 90s arcade game feels. As it drops, big sub-bass balances bursts of counter-melodic horns and licks, creating a serious head-nodder of a number.

In contrast, Recondite is a slower build of tension. Crisp drums and drawn out keys lurch us into an uncertain intro, reminiscent of the soundtrack work of Vangelis for Bladerunner. Descending strings and pricks of percussion punctuate the pads, vocals and space - dropping us right into a rumbling roller: a perfect gritty track for a dimly-lit dance floor.

7 years deep in the game, it’s our pleasure to bring you music from yet another member of our ever expanding European family; Silence Groove’s debut release drops on the 27th of July and is surely one to set your clocks by.

There’s certainly no two ways about it, everyone in the UK loves the summer (even if a few of us do complain about being too hot!). So here at Soulvent, we thought we’d ring in everyone’s favourite season, with a scorching selection of tracks that will keep the mercury high. We’ve roped in new British talent from the likes of Luna, Changer, Primitive Instinct and Lurch - whilst keeping our international connections simmering, with offerings from Mountain, Reset Wrong, Soul Dimension and Monika.

Reset Wrong’s track Femme is a morphing selection of grunting synths and bi-polar drums - a first outing for the Russian duo on Soulvent. Meanwhile long-time friend, first-time collaborator Dushi offers up Crossroads, a number perfect for poolside jams & park life living.

Fresh from dropping his Teleportation EP on Celsius, Mountain returns with the feel-good half-time stepper that is Squall - littered with chords that will definitely have you reaching for the air guitar. Strife II delivers You’ll Always Know - energetic drums bathed in sunshine will have your hands in the air and a smile on your face. Dilemma brings a jazzy vibe that winds down the tone after a long day in the sun. Soulful keys and rolling basslines keep the good times coming.

As the sun goes down, break out the EP’s darker side with Cumber from Luna and The Shakes from Lurch. Big servings of sub bass will have you rounding out the after parties in style. Soul Dimension changes up the pace with the certified chest-thumper Mind Surgeon. If this one gets dropped at a night near you, expect shoes galore.

Last but by no means least, Soulvent staple Monika flies in from New Zealand with a vocal kissed roller titled As You Walk, perfect for a balmy stroll home after a long night of dancing!

This July, if you’re in search of a new Summer anthem, then look no further than our Summer Soul EP.

  • Imba - Absolution Play all

Following a busy 2017; featuring on the final Soul Sessions (Vol.3) and releasing on the likes of Influenza & Celsius recordings, Sam ‘Imba’ Hiscox is back at Soulvent with another solid two-track offering of liquid gold. The Bristolian has been steadily pioneering his own brand of notable rollers, fast becoming one of the staple aliases in the next generation of Liquid Drum and Bass producers.

Undone is full of spacey synths, twisted vocals and airy pads. Backed by a tight drum groove, the drop sees in a murky sub line flanked by revolving glitches of melody & sweeping dark reese basses.

On Absolution, Imba teams up with the Californian talents of Alexvnder – resulting in a sultry mix of styles. Wistful keys and thumping drums are the order of the day, alongside warming bass tones.

If you’re a fan of soulful rollers and surging baselines, look no further than this first-class feat dropping on the 29th of June.

  • Blacklab - Human Condition Play all

    Buy it here: http://smarturl.it/sv042shop

The Las Vegas based brothers Blacklab return to Soulvent Records for their first outing since Soul Sessions Vol. 3, in the form of their debut single – Human Condition.

The title track opens with a warm, captivating tribal soundscape that builds imposing atmosphere and tension, before launching us into a long, boundless bassline hook – underlying their signature rolling drum beats. Soothing piano drifts on in a way that keeps us enlightened and upbeat throughout. You can almost hear the Nevada desert that inspires much of the Blacklab signature sound.

Passionfruit’s deep soulful bass and haunting female lead vocal bring back more of those tribal loops and pads, really showing us just why the US duo are so great at what they do.

If you’re keen on smooth, top-drawer liquid, then look no further than this soulful slice dropping on June 1st in all good stores.

  • In:Most - Thekla Play all

    Buy/Stream here: http://smarturl.it/sv041shop

In:Most return to Soulvent with their most garish and gully helping to date! Since starting their journey together back in 2013, the duo have bridged the Brisbane-Cambridge gap and now reside firmly in the UK. Fresh from their latest work - featuring on the latest Logistics album ‘Hologram’ - the Cambridge duo offer up this 2 track smasher, another strong reminder of the young duo’s talent, and the bright future ahead of them. Thekla, nostalgically named after the famous floating club in Bristol’s Mud Docks, delivers in moody sub bass and menacing textures, a jungle inspired banger, perfect for those dark dance floors!

At Last is trademark In:Most: slow, soft atmospherics; full of measured, steady and longing vocals, and a weighty drum break to remind you - as if you needed reminding - what these two are all about.

  • Askel & Elere - Last Leaves Play all

    Buy it here: http://smarturl.it/sv040shop

Young producers from Finland, Askel (Juho Kavasto) and Elere (Sainey Gibba) have absolutely smashed it out the park with their debut single. Having met only age 11, the two brought their musical creativity together and started producing on Fruity Loops in 2007: via their parents’ computers. From the small snowy town of Tampere, the pair of old friends deliver cleverly crafted liquid with a mastery akin to that of Med School legend Etherwood.

Last Leaves eases us in with warm, chiming bells and a general sense of calm. Plucks and pops of synth melt into ethereal vocals as growing percussion builds energy, into a cliff hanger drop that does anything but disappoint.

Polar Response, is a moody landscape of surging synths and suspense. The drop delivers their blend of progressive liquid and deep sub bass provides the foundation to a rolling melody, in a more drawn out fashion.

Hot off his debut EP, golden boy Monika delivers a new take on the title track with just a touch more oomph, demonstrating his clear knowledge and love of breaks. A track that’s as at home on dancefloors as it is in the headphones.

  • Low:r - Room 2 Play all

    Buy it here: http://smarturl.it/sv039shop

Ben Downton, or Low:r as he’s known to the D&B community, is a producer hailing from Horsham, in the South of England. While helping out at Such Music for about a year, the 28 year old has been steadily churning out releases; despite this alias only being a year old. He’s amassed releases on Soul Deep Digital, Terra Firma, Atmomatix Records, Such and LTJ Bukems very own RSTLSSNSS imprint. First releasing on last year’s Soul Sessions Vol. 3, it gives us pleasure to drop his first single on Soulvent.

Room 2 is a fine liquid roller. Jazz chords meld with soft pads, bowed strings and soulful vocals. Synth plucks meet clicking percussive beats, and a staunch bass line keeps the listener firmly in the room.

Back & Forth sees Ben team up with Germany based producer Surreal, after initially connecting through Such Music. The track starts off with an eerily quiet, soft build into menacing synth swells. Pulsing sweeps break into pops of percussion and sharp flecks of sub bass. High energy drums drop us flat into a dance-floor smasher.
