Please note that this level is not 100% finished, and also lost a lot of clarity due to my recording method. I'm no longer interested in making another large-scale SM64 hack, I prefer jumping between games. However, I still intend to make more SM64 mini-hacks in the future. Star Road 2 will combine the free-roam style of SM64 with the gameplay of SM3DL.

Funding is going very well, I've already been able to cut back a couple of shifts! With enough support, I'll be able to finish Star Road DS much earlier and then resume Star Road 2 development with a faster schedule.

Edit: It seems some people misunderstand my intentions here - this game will be very free-roam like SM64 while also maintaining certain elements of SM3DL. Notice in this video how you have to walk around and solve a few puzzles to get the star coins, in a non-linear fashion. I've also been playing around with assembly and it seems like it should be straight forward to implement more custom behaviors such as talking NPC's, a hub etc.
Edit 2: Also to address concerns about the target audience - by the time this game is ready for release, I expect 3DS emulation to be much more smooth and straight-forward. I will be providing guides and any NAND files necessary, too.
Edit 3: Just look at how SM64DS played before I laid my hands on it - I don't understand how ~10% of people are so strongly against this. There are very few valid objections to this change being risen which I haven't already outlined a solution to.
